We, Christopher and Lauren,  noticed on October 19th that Lauren was very fatigued.  We traveled on Saturday to Cleveland, TN with Kaley to celebrate Zak's 24th Birthday! Walking on the streets of Cleveland, Lauren could barely walk by herself; needing to hold on to Christopher to not fall. Wednesday, we had a doctor's appointment with Dr Nelson who instructed us to go directly to the ER at Anderson Hospital in Meridian, MS. Blood tests, bone marrow biopsy, and other tests were done. Dr Eubanks let me know I probably had Acute Myeloid Leukemia and referred me to UAB since that was rare and she did not have the staff to handle that. I was admitted on Halloween to UAB room 8203. I have since had more tests done including another bone marrow biopsy and confirming the diagnosis of Acute Myeloid Leukemia.
